(Sunlight is the perfect source of color-balanced, full visible spectrum light. It is the standard by which every form of artificial light is
compared.)
(Cool White fluorescent light is especially strong in the
yellow and green portions of visible light. It is weakest in violet, blue and
some shades of green. This is why everything under fluorescent lighting appears
a yellow/green hue.)

Filter, changes color characteristics. The yellow and green hues are reduced so that the other colors of the spectrum become more balanced, like those found in natural sunlight. Note the resemblance to the wave pattern found in Sunlight (top).
